ETA Kenya Application
Step by Step: How to apply for an ETA Kenya
Step 1: Complete the ETA Kenya application form
Before you start, you should go over all the mandatory Kenya ETA requirements for travelers of your nationality. Once you’ve done that, you are ready to begin completing the ETA Kenya application.
The ETA Kenya application form will ask for some basic personal information like your full name, birth date and passport details. You will also need to give details about your travel itinerary or your arriving and departing flights. Make sure you complete all the fields and that the information you give is accurate.
Step 2: Pay the fees and await confirmation
Once you’ve completed the ETA Kenya application form, you will have to pay the attached fees with a valid credit or debit card. After you complete payment, your ETA Kenya application will be ready to be sent in.
You will receive an email confirming that your application has been received. You’ll be notified about the final resolution in the same manner within the next few days.
Step 3: Final decision – Approved or Rejected ETA Kenya Application
We will let you know the final resolution of your ETA Kenya application via email. If for some reason your ETA Kenya visa is rejected, you’ll be notified in the same manner. However, it’s a very rare occurrence that an ETA Kenya application is rejected, especially if you apply with our assistance.
If your ETA Kenya application is approved, you will also receive the official travel document in your email. Download the document, print it and show it to the immigration and airline officers when you reach a border point.
Do I need to print my ETA Kenya?
Yes, you will have to present the printed copy of your Kenya ETA to the immigration officer in charge.
The Kenyan immigration office has no way to corroborate the information online and will not accept a screenshot in your phone as sufficient proof. That’s why all travelers should print their Kenya ETA before traveling.
Information needed to process your ETA Kenya application form online
- Personal information (including, but not limited to, name, place of residence, birth date, nationality).
- Passport
- A recent, color personal photograph
- Proof of flights (if you travel by air)
- Travel itinerary (if you travel by land or sea)
- Current email to receive the visa
- Bank card to pay the attached fees
Kenya ETA processing time
The processing time varies according to the application method utilized:
- ETA Kenya: the processing time for a Kenya ETA usually takes from 24 to 72 hours. Travelers can expect to receive the final resolution within that period.
- Embassy/Consulate Applications: there’s no definite answer as it depends on what Embassy or Consulate is in charge of processing your visa application. It takes 10 working days or more most of the time. However, it’s best to apply long before that in case there are any delays, but it’s not necessary to do it with more than 3 months of anticipation.
All travelers need to be aware of the fact that the Kenyan government holds the exclusive right to allow or deny entry into the country, and having an approved Kenya ETA is not enough to guarantee that you’ll be allowed to cross the border. If you fail to comply with the other mandatory travel requirements for Kenya, it’s very likely that you’ll be denied entry into the country, even if you have an approved visa to your name
