  • To expand on the previous point, the common greetings in Swahili are “Hujambo” or “Jambo”, which is responded with “Sijambo”. Other common greetings are “Sasa” and “Mambo”, which is replied with “Poa”. 
  • Ask permission before taking photographs of people, especially in remote areas. 
  • There are many different tribes cohabitating in Kenya, which translates to large numbers of dialects being spoken.
